The City of Twin Falls is making it even easier to “Mask Up” for community members. The City has provided 15,000 adult-sized masks and 5,000 youth-sized reusable cloth masks for Twin Falls residents through Federal CARES funding.

In partnership with multiple partner organizations, these masks will be made available for pickup throughout the community. Masks are available at all TFSD schools and can be picked up during regular business hours. The District asks those interested in picking up masks to first call their nearest school to make sure masks are still available at that location and to learn about when the best time to visit the building would be. 

Masks will also be available at City Hall at the Utility Billing counter, the Twin Falls Public Library and the Twin Falls Senior Center. In addition, all Twin Falls Police patrol officers will have a small supply in their patrol cars. City Manager Travis Rothweiler stated, “The goal is to provide multiple outlets for citizens to have access to a reusable mask. We don’t want access to masks to be a limiting factor for those choosing to wear one.”    

The City also provided three reusable cloth masks to every student and staff member in the TFSD prior to the start of school. This partnership allows the TFSD to utilize the CARES funding available to the district for other needed items to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

“We are grateful for our community partners who are supporting our efforts to open schools safely,” said Dr. Brady Dickinson, Superintendent of Schools for the TFSD. “We appreciate every community member who does what they can to keep our community healthy, which in turn helps keep our schools open for in-person learning.”
